Greensboro Day Spa Swaps Massage for Food

Higher gas and food prices are hitting just about everyone hard but one local business is doing its part to ease the pain.  Migun, of Greensboro, is giving away free 30-minute massages in one of their thermal accupressure beds, and all you have to do is make a food donation to the Greensboro Urban Ministry.

Massage for the Cure, September 15 in Houston

Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Houston affiliate, honored the inaugural Massage for the Cure by naming Massage Envy as the “2007 Community Service Group,” during its Pink Ribbon Reception held recently at Macy’s Galleria location.

The 2008 Massage for the Cure fund-raising event is September 15, said Lance O’Pry, regional developer for the 23 area Massage Envy locations.

Toes for Timmy Pedicure Campaign in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

It's been five years since Tim Rose lost his life in a car crash because he wasn't wearing his seatbelt. To help keep his memory alive and raise awareness around seatbelt safety, his father, Larry Rose -- a detective with the Waterloo regional police -- created a scholarship in his name.

Krista Martin is the owner of Pure Esthetics, located inside Creative Touch hair salon in Waterloo. During the entire month of August, she's donating $10 from every pedicure to the scholarship fund.
