UC Irvine Extension Explores Online Integrative Wellness Within a Spa Environment

University of California, Irvine Extension, the pioneer of the first “Spa and Hospitality Management” certificate program on the West Coast, also the first and only fully-online certificate program of its kind in the United States – announced today a new online elective course, “Integrative Wellness Within a Spa Environment: Rituals of Healing.” The course will be taught strictly online for the first time and take place March 31-June 13.

Students will gain a different and broader psychological perspective of the spa experience and be able to identify integrative wellness current trends in spa programs. Potential and existing spa owners, directors and managers will learn to identify the biopsychosocial elements of rituals and their applicability to the modern spa environment.
